Gracious words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones.
Proverbs 16:24 (NIV)
I mentioned here how I live my days with chronic illness. I’ve long since given up television, though I may take a peep at Anne With An E.
Podcasts, next to reading, is one of my favorite things. I’m often asked what I listen to.
Today I’m sharing a list of my favorites.
Susie’s voice is absolutely adorable, her wisdom astounds me. Dear Daughters makes my day sweeter and I look forward to listening each week.
“With every episode, we hope to pass along wisdom and advice to make your life a little more beautiful.” Susie Davis
“Feathers is a weekly podcast which shares stories of women walking in faith. Feathers has been on the air since March 2015 and is currently in Season 6.
Each week we interview one guest who shares their story of faithful obedience. Perhaps God called them to something which seemed scary or crazy and they had to trust Him or perhaps God asked them to travel a difficult road and asked them to remain faithful to Him. We hope Feathers inspires you and encourages you to take flight in your own faith.” Abiding Ministries
“Every week I invite a girlfriend to join me on the show and we chat about the big things in life, the small things in life, and everything in between.” Jamie Ivey
“I want you to reach your writing goals, and I believe you’ll make significant progress (and have fun!) by being more curious, creative, and productive. These writing podcast episodes offer practical tips and motivation for writers at all stages. I keep episodes short and focused so writers only need a few minutes to collect ideas, inspiration, resources, and recommendations to apply to their work. Tune in for solutions addressing anything from self-editing and goal-setting solutions to administrative and scheduling challenges.” Ann Kroeker
“Less like a podcast and more like coffee with friends, Annie’s podcast, releases on Thursdays, features her favorite things and favorite people. On any given podcast, you can expect to hear about new books, faith conversations, restaurants, travel stories, musicians, and really any of Annie’s friends that she can wrangle around a microphone. Pretty much, if it sounds fun to Annie, she wants you to hear about it.” Annie F. Downs
Currently Christy is on hiatus and planning to return soon. Meanwhile, with guests like Ann Voskamp, Rebekah Lyons, Kay Warren, Chris Tomlin, the girls from She Reads Truth, and more…this one is worth binge listening while you wait for Christy’s return.
“So Living a Redeemed Life Podcast is dedicated to encouraging all who listen to live in the redemption found in Jesus. To pick it up daily…believe it…and rejoice in it.” Holly Barrett
I was blessed to be a guest on episode seventy-nine.
“Welcome to From the Front Porch, a collection of conversations on books, small business, and life in the South, hosted by Bookshelf owner Annie Jones and staffer Chris Jensen. Each week, we share book reviews and stories from the shop, all recorded from the comfort of Annie’s home settled among the streets of downtown Thomasville. Follow along our adventures in retail, meet Thomasville’s diverse cast of characters, and listen as we share our favorite books of the season.” The Bookshelf
Most of you know I am a voracious reader. I love Anne’s podcast! It’s my Tuesday morning guilty pleasure, always adding more titles to my TBR list.
This is a small sampling of podcasts I listen too. However, these are the podcasts where I grab my coffee, laptop, journal, and put up the “Do Not Disturb” sign. Yes, yes I do.

Gifts of Grace
PS: A cool breeze stirs through open windows. It’s light and airy, without our typical southern humidity. The breeze blows over me with feathery lightness. I know this is His unfolding grace. Gifts in the wilderness. These past weeks have held a delicate tension of beauty and hard. They’ve intertwined in unexpected ways leaving me winded with a child like wonder of what, how, God will make His presence known. I expect I will share them soon, for now I hold these precious stories in my heart.
PSS: I’m blessed to serve you in this place, to share with you the Gifts of Grace as I journey through the wilderness. I picture you across the table, hands wrapped tightly around your cup, sharing life, and laughter, and tears. As I share with you my own daily struggles, I long to hear what yours may be. Sharing the realness of life. You can do that by commenting below or reaching out to me here.
