Happy Friday! The sun is shining bright, frost covers the ground, the March wind howls. Still, it is my favorite day of the week. My Sweet Man will be home before lunch(insert all the hearts). I have a mani-pedi scheduled and then, we will head out for our bi-weekly trip to Trader Joe’s!
Meanwhile, I am joining Kate Motaung and others, where we write five minutes on one word. Won’t you join us?
Today’s word: PURPOSE
***
One thousand, three hundred, and five days have passed since we first stared wide eyed down these halls.
It is as raw and fresh today as the first time I was rolled down the long, stark hallways.
Seven months prior I was running a half marathon. I crashed, the unraveling began.
And yet, each of these moments have been connected, creating a beautiful season. Connecting me to you.
Easy? No. Hard? Yes.
Can I tell you there has been purpose? Can I tell you there is purpose for you as well? There is, you may not know it yet.
Each of these hard moments has weaved together a beautiful purpose.
I celebrate today, one thousand, three hundred and five days later, with the aid of a cane I am able to slowly walk down those halls.
My purpose, my one beautiful purpose in the wilderness, is not only to see God leading me through, but, to turn back and tell you, “He will lead you through as well. He will not leave you alone. He never has.”
I know that when you peer through your pain it is hard to find Him.
I know that when you gaze down that long hallway, the way seems hopeless. The steps wearying. The days endless. The wind is sucked out of you and you may not see your way to go on.
Here’s the thing Dear Reader, the first precarious, unbalanced step will lead to the next, and then the next.
There will be beautiful moments along the way.
I pray today that in your weary moments you will see Him leading the way. That you will feel His hand wrapped around yours.
That you will collect these random moments and create a beautiful tapestry, finding your one beautiful purpose.
Praise the Lord, my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name.
Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefits-
Psalm 103: 1&2 (NIV)
I had the opportunity to be a guest on Holly Barret’s podcast. You can catch the podcast episode here and listen to more of my story through the wilderness.

While I always bask in the easy time, I always appreciate (some time MUCH later) the lessons I learn during the difficult time.

I found you on FMF. So interested in your story. I am 37 and this week I celebrated 30 years since I had a stroke. I actually shared about it on my blog and wrote about finding purpose in the pain and holding on to hope. So wonderful we have a Father who teaches us through the Holy Spirit such comforting truths. Blessings! Jen
Jennifer, I’m so glad to meet you! I would love to hear more of your story!
I shared a bit of an overview of my story on Holly Barrett’s podcast, hollybarrett.com

Loved this friend! So much THIS: “My purpose, my one beautiful purpose in the wilderness, is not only to see God leading me through, but, to turn back and tell you, “He will lead you through as well. He will not leave you alone. He never has.” I can’t wait to listen to the podcast either. I’m in the 5 spot this week.
Thank you Sweet Tara!

You make things sound so easy to get thru. So Blessed to have a daughter who can do this.
You make us all a better believer. You put it out where it can help all. Keep up great work.
