“I love most of this life, and I’m learning to love all of it.

I love most of me.

And I’m learning to love all of me.”

Happy Friday Friends! Have I told you how much I love Friday’s?

A day to shed the weight of a hard week.

We will be making our Friday trek to Trader Joe’s, spending the afternoon together laughing, lunching out, and sharing life. Before that, I am joining Kate Motaung and others where we write five minutes on a one word prompt.

Today’s word: WEAK

Four letters. One word. Weak. A myriad of thoughts tumbling through my heart.

I googled weak. I did. I searched the Holy Writ for passages with the word. There are plenty, in case you didn’t already know.

We are still celebrating my birthday. Celebrating fifty-seven years of living, learning, failing, succeeding, failing again. The ups and downs, and all that has fallen in between.

What I can tell you today is this:

I am weak in faith and prayer. I am weak in the hardships of life. Weak in feeding my selfish desires. Weak in my no’s and weak in my yes’s. Weak in my physical body.

And yet, these are the broken places that lead me to a Savior. That send me falling into the arms of God.

It’s in this place of weakness I thrive. It’s in the weak, there’s no need to strive. It’s in the weak I search and find a super human strength which is not my own.

If I must boast, I would rather boast about the things that show how weak I am.

2 Corinthians 11:30 (NLT)

I would love to hear from you today! The places where you find your own weakness leads you to strength. You can do that by commenting below or emailing me here.

Because it’s Friday my favorite day of the week, below I am sharing a few things I am loving right now:

This white tee shirt. If you know me at all, you know that I am forever searching for the perfect white tee. I have finally found it!
