Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and make me willing to obey you.
Psalm 51: 10 NLT
It’s Friday, my favorite day of the week! Later today, my Sweet Man and I will began a marathon weekend of shopping! What was I thinking?
In the meantime, I’m joining Kate Motaung and others for Five Minute Friday.
Today’s word: JOY
I’ve been wool gathering this morning. Sitting with coffee, two pair of thick socks on my purple feet, and a blanket tucked around me. Relentless winds howling across our Wilderness Place, bitter cold has settled over us. My hands, feet, lips have turned a garish shade of purple.
These are the days. Days when pushing through P.O.T.S., Dysautonomia, bone degeneration, and pain are hard.
These are the days I cry out, “Restore to me the joy of YOUR salvation, Lord!” With all manner of foot stomping and whining.
Because he bends down to listen, I will pray as long as I have breath! Psalm 116:2 NLT
It is in the unholy hard where His faithfulness is most seen.
His bending down to listen, most tender.
Gifts of Grace

This girl is BACK.
Whew! 🙂
It is not always easy to find joy when circumstances are difficult but there is joy to be found in knowing God hears our cries and when he shows us his faithfulness even in the midst of our challenges. Visiting from FMF.
Amen Lesley! Thank you for stopping by!

Oh, I know this prayer: “These are the days I cry out, “Restore to me the joy of YOUR salvation, Lord!” With all manner of foot stomping and whining.” Thank you for sharing these hard words! They bring encouragement to me, because your heart of longing for Jesus is the true blessing! May I lift my eyes to see Him bending to listen also!
Thank you Bettie!
