“You are not writing alone. You are gathered in a crowd of witnesses beholding ink~stained truth.” ~Alia Joy

its-a-five-minute-fridaybook2  If you have been following me then you know how important community is to me.

One year ago I took the challenge to write 31 days in October. I had absolutely no clue what I was  doing, or even if I had it in me.

The first post shared, I was instantly taken in, coddled, encouraged, and cheered on by seasoned writers farther along in their journey of penning words.

I stood in awe of their acceptance and inclusion of this awkward writer. I did not know anything about self-hosted domains, pic monkey, canva, landing pages, linking up, or buttons. Before I could ask a question, help was offered, not one time, but many. Over the thirty one days, I built community. Or rather, you could say I was found by community. Taken in under their wings.

I was pointed to Five Minute Friday hosted by Kate Motaung, and a twitter party. Who knew? This fledgling writer stood in awe of their offerings.

I was captivated. Before you know it I had writing friends and mentors to guide me along the way.

I have been gifted with deep friendships and mighty prayer warriors.

Five Minute Friday All that to say; I am humbled and honored to be a part of the first Five Minute Friday Book! In all my humble excitement, I have been doing a happy dance, while standing in one spot, holding on to my desk for dear life, in turtle warp speed. Yes, that is life with P.O.T.S.

I would tell you which page, but rather, my heart’s desire is for you to read them all. Words, penned by many I have come to know and love. And a whole heaping amount of respect.

For the first time ever, I am a part of launching a book that holds a small part of me.

To celebrate I am giving away a copy of the Five Minute Friday Book. Friday, my sweet man will draw a name and I will announce it here on my Five Minute Friday post, this Friday, September 30th.

Here is what you need to do to become eligible. Comment on this particular post, sign up to receive emails from me, or follow me on Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram. One or all is fine, and if you are already a follower, your name is already in!

Are you excited? I am!

For all of my mentors, friends, and fellow writers, Happy Happy Happy Launch Day. And thanks to Susan Shipe, Kate Motaung, and Lisa Jo Baker for making dreams come true!

Below is some other fun stuff!

Coming Saturday, October 1, please join me for Journey to Action!

“Today is the day we begin this journey. I long to take your hand as we travel dusty roads, venture down the paths less traveled. We may cross the tracks and find ourselves on the wrong side of town as our story unfolds.”
