Share~Five Minute Friday
I throw open my door, invite you in. Share my space. Allow you to cross the threshold of my brokenness.
I do not mince words. There’s dust on the furniture. Most likely you will find me void of masks and cosmetics. Wrapped in warm pajamas. The coffee is hot and strong. Hot cocoa, marshmallows, whipped cream, empty mugs…they await your presence. The cookies, no they’re not home baked but come from Trader Joe’s.
Through this slower pace, God has shown me to savor, to cultivate quiet. Peace.
It’s not always pretty here. I am transparent in the pain. Share my vulnerabilities, my insecurities, my fears.
As you sit across from me, sip your hot beverage of choice, I share my story. Share how a faithful God has met me in this place. Share where grace and goodness abound in the hard edges and dark pain.
I choose to share that, because the thing I want most for you…is to find what I have found. A love affair.
A love affair with Jesus. I share His love for me. His tender mercies. His love for you.
Share how He walks straight into your own brokenness, heals in ways seen and unseen.
Share my quiet space. Pray you hear Him through my story.
They shared everything. The apostles gave powerful witness to the resurrection of the Master Jesus, and grace was on them all.

Gifts of Grace

Hi, I’m your FMF neighbour today and I loved your post. Our thoughts on the prompt went on similar lines. There is such power in being real and sharing our stories, including the messy bits, and letting others see “where grace and goodness abound in the hard edges and dark pain.”
Thank you Carly! I can’t wait to read yours!

I love how you invite us to cross the threshold of brokenness. Only then can we find true fellowship with one another.
Elizabeth it’s been a difficult journey finding a way to share, without my husband driving me, I am home bound. Inviting others in has been wonderful for me. Back in the day I would worry that all looked and was perfect. God has shown me a better way! Today, I savor and relish this new way. I am blessed by all who come in!

women, some of us thank we have to be perfect at all times. No way, we were not made perfect.
He wants us to be full of the Spirit. I myself do this but am getting better at this.
