Going deeper into the Word of God, encouraging other women to go deeper into His Word, are two of my greatest passions.

Dearest Reader,
I would love to share some things I am deeply passionate about! I hope you will grab a cup of coffee and join me! You probably already know I’m a bit (smile) of a bookworm by now, but, there are some other things I am deeply passionate about. I want to share those with you today, as well as two beautiful resources that will ignite the same passions in you.

You probably already know I’m a bit (smile) of a bookworm by now, but, there are some other things I am deeply passionate about. I want to share those with you today as well as two beautiful resources that will ignite the same passions in you.
It took many years for me to fall in love with the Bible. My heart was there but nothing made sense. Can you relate? I began to pray that God would open my eyes to his words, making Him my heart’s desire. I cried out for a hunger and thirst for His Word.
Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Psalms 37:4 (ESV)
Y’all, He is faithful. He answered that prayer, continues to answer it day by day, as I still pray those words. Through this, He ignited a passion in me to encourage other women to fall in love with Him, fall in love with His word.
It’s not every day you get two beautifully written resources that will ignite that fire, taking you to a deeper level in your relationship with God.
I came to know Denise Hughes through her Word Writers Series. When I saw that she was releasing a book matching my own passion, I couldn’t get on board fast enough. Deeper Waters: Immersed in the Life-Changing Truth of God’s Word is a great resource whether you are new to the Bible, or like me, have been digging for treasure that is God’s truths.
“God speaks to us through His Word. This book is about learning to hear God’s voice through His Word so we can discern what is true from untrue.
When we hear God’s voice through the pages of His Word, we find our true home in Him, and the brokenness we experience in the deep waters of life is redeemed for a purpose greater than we can imagine.
The satisfaction you seek dwells in the depths of God’s Word” -Denise J. Hughes
Wise words are like deep waters. Proverbs 18:4 (NLT)
Deep calls unto deep; “Deep calls to deep at the roar of your waterfalls. Psalms 42:7 (ESV)
Is Jesus Worth it? Igniting Your Faith When You Feel like Quitting by Stacey Thacker is the second resource I’m encouraging you to read. Stacy is another Jesus loving woman who is passionate about connecting with other women through God’s word.
“When we are in a crisis of faith, what we need to hear most is the Word of God.” -Stacey Thacker
Is Jesus Worth It will lead you through the book of Hebrews, igniting your faith, leading you to a place of listening and hearing the voice of God through His Word.
Very early in her book, Stacey asks the hard question;
“Oh, girls, he is speaking, but are we listening?”
This book is a wonderful resource taking you through the book of Hebrews, taking you where most of us have been, a testing of faith in hard times.
I highly endorse this book as a part of your Bible reading and study!
Is Jesus Worth It? is the first book in Stacey’s new series, The Girlfriends’ Guide to the Bible. I will be anxiously awaiting the next installment to The Girlfriends’ Guide to the Bible!
PS: I just happen to have an extra copy of this book. If you think it may be for you, let me know why in the comments below and I will choose a winner!
Gifts of Grace
I’m blessed to serve you in this place, to share with you the Gifts of Grace as I journey through the wilderness. I picture you across the table, hands wrapped tightly around your cup, sharing life, and laughter, and tears. As I share with you, my own daily struggles, I long to hear what yours may be. Sharing the realness of life. You can do that by commenting below or reaching out to me here.

That’s awesome Pam! I loved Deeper Waters!

Hebrews is one of the books I’ve been returning to this summer, especially chapter 4. I’d love to have more insights.
Sue, It’s so good to see your smiling face here!

Tammy, Both of these sound amazing! The “Deep Waters” one strikes home especially sine I’m in Texas and we’ve had some deep water lately. I think I’d much prefer God’s Deep Water over Harvey’s!
Bless you, Sweet Friend! I’ve been praying for you all!

These both sounds like great resources. I am all for resources that encourage us to get into God’s Word and listen to Him.
Amen, Barbara!

As an overseas missionary, I am constantly asking myself, “Is Jesus worth it?” I would love to have this resource to really help nail that down for me.
Thank you, Amber, for stopping by! Stacey’s book is one of my favorites! Much wisdom!

Oh you know you are speaking my language here!!! Books (and THE Book!) What’s not to love? I have had my eye on both of these books… but I’ve had a non-reading summer and my stack of books is not as tall as usual as we are making room for Lil Miss!
I’m so excited for you Karrilee! Praying for you all and that sweet Lil Miss!
