“All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right.”
2 Timothy 3:16 (NLT)
Happy Friday Dearest Readers!
Today I’m joining Kate Motaung and others where we write on a one word prompt for five minutes. I hope you will join me!
Today’s word: INSPIRE
***
I’m inspired by words, good books, quotes, and story. Bookshelves spilling over. Libraries and independent book stores. Poetry.
“While I was thinking this I happened to be standing
just outside my door, with my notebook open,
which is the way I begin every morning.
Then a wren in the privet began to sing.”
Mary Oliver from I Happened To Be Standing
Words, story, quotes, weave beautiful stories. Shelves spilling over is a life well lived.
I want my heart and life to spill over with stories of living inspired.
To inspire others by how I live, how I love, how I serve. Capture and record the God moments through out my days. A journal and pen, close by. Creating space to listen. Making time to love well. Time to serve well.
Living my life in the midst of unholy hard with joy and peace that comes from above. Comes from a holy God.
I long to inspire others, inspire you, to fall in love with God, to engage in His Word. Feast on the Bread of Life. Drink of Living Water. I want for you to gaze into the mirror and see yourself how God sees you, His poiema, His workmanship.
I long to live a life inspired by God, inspiring you. A life of humility and authenticity.
These are the things that excite me.
What inspires you?
“I want us to learn to look for the lovely all around us and collect it, hold it close, and see how God drops beautiful things into our lives at just the right time to help us step forward on our own paths.”
Annie F. Downs – Looking For Lovely

Lovely post. I need to get busy and write my five minutes. I thought of several things that inspire me, reading others blog post is one of them. Thanks you for the encouragement.
Hey, Betty, I’m blessed you took a moment to stop by! Writing on Friday’s is hard, isn’t it?

You inspire me sweet Tammy! I love that quote from Annie’s book. I try to look more for the lovely in this world too. I’m in the 7 spot this week.
Thank you, Sweet Tara! When I pulled the book off the shelf, I felt the urge to re-read it.

Is that “Pete the Cat” that I spy on your bookshelf there? He’s the best!
The desire you have to inspire others to follow the Lord you know and love – He smiles on that. I believe He is very pleased with your passion and your obedience. 🙂
Hey, Marie! Yes, that is Pete the Cat and Pretzel on my shelf. I love children’s books and taught pre-school in my pre-illness life. I love to keep a shelf of books for my grandchildren. And who doesn’t love Pete?!

Hi, Tammy.
Living inspired.
This last month God has been showing me “inspired action”.
Reading your desire to live inspired made me think of why inspired action continues to show up for me.
I live my life hoping that it in some ways inspires others to live. However, I hide in the background.
I’m reading a book on Romans 8:28 and the author give rich insights into the suffering we experience. Sufferings (and everything) works together for the good to those who are in Christ Jesus, to those called according to His purpose.
His point – the getting through suffering isn’t so we can rest and be blessed rather it’s so others can be blessed.
Thank you, Sara Beth, for sharing your thoughts. Such good ones! I’d love to know what book you are reading!
