Happy Friday Dear Readers!
I’m exhaling this early morning, sun streaming through water drops leftover from last nights rain. Droplets hang on yellow blooms. Can I tell you, it’s been a hard week? One of fatigue and gripping pain. These are the days I quiet myself, listen to my body, rest, listen to podcasts, and read.
Many of you are right here with me, journeying thru your wilderness as I make my way through my own. I’m wondering how you might be today. Are you exhaling a long week of hard? I have several appointments today, a date with my Sweet Man, lunch with our dearest friends. I’m celebrating Friday, joining Kate Motaung and others for Five Minute Friday, writing on a one word prompt.

Today’s word, should.
My first thought was of Paul. Paul, who encountered Jesus, and was radically transformed. His words in Romans 7:15&16.
“What I don’t understand about myself is that I decide one way, but then I act another, doing things I absolutely despise. So if I can’t be trusted to figure out what is best for myself and then do it, it becomes obvious that God’s command is necessary.” The Message
Should brings to mind the things I should have done. Things, I should not have done. The bitter bile of regret immediately snakes it’s way around me. Squeezing.
I wrangle the enemy, taking my thoughts captive to Christ. (2Corinthians 10:5) Treasuring words in Psalms 103:8-12.
“God is sheer mercy and grace;not easily angered, he’s rich in love.He doesn’t endlessly nag and scold,nor hold grudges forever.He doesn’t treat us as our sins deserve,nor pay us back in full for our wrongs.As high as heaven is over the earth,so strong is his love to those who fear him.And as far as sunrise is from sunset,he has separated us from our sins.”The Message
